ABOUT NP.GUIDE
np.guide
Essential national park guides for weak mobile signal. Open once. Reopen offline.
Why I made it
I made np.guide after a trip to Glacier National Park. Inside the park, I had little or no mobile signal. I had also forgotten to download the park app.
I needed basic answers, not a full website or a live social feed. Was there food at the next stop? Water? Toilets? Fuel? How long would the drive take? The official pages were difficult to load on a weak connection.
What it is
np.guide is a small, plain-text field guide for national parks. It puts basic answers near the top: services by place, drive times, current conditions, permits, and short hikes.
Open a park guide while you have a connection. Reopen the same address if the signal disappears. No app download is required.
What it is not
It is not the National Park Service. It does not replace official alerts, closure notices, emergency instructions, or park rules. Use those sources when a decision affects your safety.
It leaves out photos, menus, long articles, and full social feeds so the useful text can arrive on a weak connection.
